What exactly are your options when you are enrolled at the UvA or HvA and have a disability or a chronic condition? What should you know before you enrol? Whom can you contact about what, and when? What are your options? This site provides you with the answers to all of these questions.
Approximately 6-9% of UvA and HvA students suffer from a disability or a chronic disease including physical impairments, RSI, asthma, diabetes, and various kinds of learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD.
If your disability or illness is causing you problems when studying, attending classes, or finding accommodation, or if you expect that it will in the future, you should contact your student adviser or student counsellor for advice or information about possible services. We strongly advise you to contact the student adviser or student counsellor before enrolment at the UvA or HvA, preferably 6 months in advance.
In order to have the right adjustments, when needed, you need to have a medical report. In case you don't have one or have questions about this, please contact your student counsellor.
